Tsu'tey and Eytukan are back

Image
This past week on his personal Instagram, Jon Landau posted the above photo. Essentially confirming we will be seeing more Tsu'tey and Eytukan flashback scenes or when someone connect with Eywa. I can't express how happy this makes me, I love the connections to the Omatikaya and specifically to these two characters who we lost way too soon in the franchise. One thing I am surprised about is that this was shared with us and wasn't kept under wraps, can you imagine the impact of seeing the movie and not knowing these two were going to make an appearance before hand? www.avatarsequels.com

Big Bad Toy Store Avatar Sales

Image
Happy Valentines Day! If you are like me and still need some of the McFarlane Avatar sets to finish up your collection, you need to make your way to Big Bad Toy Store (BBTS) right now. They are having some killer sales. I picked up the Shack Site Battle ($41.99), Tonowari & Skimwing ($21.99), Banshee Rider Neytiri ($21.99), and Amp Suit & Colonel Miles Quaritch ($14.99), for a grand total of $33.99. Shack Site Battle alone retails for more than that. This isn't an ad or anything like that, it's simply a company I like to purchase from, who packages well, has good customer service, and is currently having some really good deals on Avatar stuff. Also I shipped all for items for their $4 flat rate shipping, see why I recommend them yet? Go check them out here---> https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/ www.avatarsequels.com

Fortnite x Disney and Avatar

Image
Disney and Epic games announced today that they are going to collaborate on a new game and entertainment universe. Disney is also investing 1.5 billion into Epic Games to buy a stake of the company. Here are some of the highlights of the Disney press release- "The new persistent universe will offer a multitude of opportunities for consumers to play, watch, shop and engage with content, characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar and more. Players, gamers and fans will be able to create their own stories and experiences, express their fandom in a distinctly Disney way, and share content with each other in ways that they love. This will all be powered by Unreal Engine." “Our exciting new relationship with Epic Games will bring together Disney’s beloved brands and franchises with the hugely popular Fortnite in a transformational new games and entertainment universe,” said Robert A. Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “This ma

Screen Rant Interview with James Cameron, Avatar 3 filming

Image
Photo from Looper As we've seen several Avatar actors posting photos of them back at Manhattan Beach Studios doing Mo-cap for Avatar, there's been a lot of theories popping up online. Some speculated filming on Avatar 4 or possibly was happening, while others were a bit more tame, saying these were the reshoots and pickups for Avatar 3 being wrapped up. Well thanks to ScreenRant and an interview they had with James at this past Sunday's Saturn Awards, we have the answer. When asked about Avatar 3, here is what James had to say- "It’s pretty much in the can. We’re shooting pick-ups on 3, which is just filling in the last 2 or 3%, and we’ve also got live-action pick-ups in June, that's another couple percent. We've got about a quarter of movie 4 in the can. We’re post on 3 and now doing the VFX, which is an enormous job. I’ll need every second between now and then to get it done. The tech has reached the point right now where it’s really what we need. We make l

James Cameron has ideas for Avatar 6 and 7

Image
James Cameron gave an exclusive interview to People Magazine this past Sunday at the Saturn Awards. Here are some of the quotes from JC- “We're fully written through movie five, and I've got ideas for six and seven, although I'll probably be handing the baton on at that point,” Cameron told PEOPLE. “I mean, mortality catches up. But I mean, we're enjoying what we're doing. We're loving it. We get to work with great people.”  This is exciting for me, for one James was always known as a tough as nails director who many people hated to work with and be around early in his career. That clearly isn't the case now, I love that he's acknowledging his mortality but yet loves the process, and the people he's working with so much that he just wants to keep grinding and creating Avatar content for us fans. “Star Trek, Star Wars, the world building franchises that have been around since I was a kid, those were my inspirations," said Cameron. "A

Happy 8 year anniversary of the Toruk Soundtrack release

Image
Today is the 8th anniversary of the soundtrack from Cirque du Soleil's Toruk-The First Flight. Featuring vocals from Cumie Dunio, it is truly an Avatar classic. Toruk came at a time when Avatar 2 was no where on the horizon, and the fandom was waning, however it smashed Cirque records and was a huge hit in its own right. I wanted to take a moment to remember the soundtrack, as it was a integral part of the show and remains a must listen for me still to this day. Cumie's vocals are truly special, I recommend all Avatar fans to pick it up. www.avatarsequels.com Cumie Dunio Purchase the soundtrack here - Toruk - The First Flight Soundtrack Follow Cumie Dunio - https://www.youtube.com/user/CumieMusic

Zoe Saldana Collider Interview

Image
Zoe Saldana recently sat down with Collider for an interview. It was focused on her Paramount+ show Lioness, but she did touch on Avatar. For the full interview click HERE . Collider-I spoke to Sam Worthington and Jon Landau and James Cameron, and they've all teased me about Avatar 3 and how Avatar 4 gets crazy. What can you tease about the upcoming films? Zoe-It's going to be amazing. Avatar 3 , it’s going to be amazing, and Avatar 4 and 5 , it just gets crazy. It's true. It really does. He's blown our mind. This is his legacy project. We all thought it was Titanic , and it turned out that Avatar is his legacy, and for us to be a part of something so groundbreaking and trailblazing, it's like it's a legacy for us, too. So I'm excited to go back. We go back to work next week, so I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. As I posted yesterday, it appears Zoe is now back to work on the Avatar sequels. Even though she just touched on Avatar bri
